Linda's Visit to the Florence Griswold Museum

Hi Everyone-
I went to the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme this weekend with my daughter, my museum buddy. We had a great time! Unfortunately, my camera decided not to work on Saturday, so I downloaded this picture from the museum's website. They had several nice exhibits, include one on Bessie Potter Vonnoh (1872-1955), a sculptor who created works of art that celebrate womanhood. The museum was decorated for Christmas, which as a special treat that put us into the holiday spirit. It was definitely worth the time and money spent on admission. I would definitely visit this museum again in the future!
Happy Holidays-
Linda

  1. Hi Linda - I really liked this museum alot too. It was not what I expected at all but it was fascinating to learn all about her and what she did for the artistic community. Who knew Connecticut was such a happening place?
